Peripheral Vision

There’s a spiritual world that floats between us and reality. I walk through that thin film noticing glimpses of my vision altered by what science would say is the fluorescents or lack of hydration. Instead I see an opportunity of embracing these “faults,” mimicking this altered perspective view of life. I suffer from migraines and saw it as a weakness anxiously waiting for the next signs of the migraine to reveal itself so I could relieve it with subscription pills. I hit a wall suffocated in fear and it wasn’t until I embraced every step of the migraine until I saw the beauty in it. There’s purpose in everything that we do, and in everything that happens to us. I challenged myself to share the lenses I look through with the world. I still struggle attempting to be free from this fear of migraines but I notice as I practice this peace and study the beauty in everything I am able to be present with my beloved niece and nephew.
